Welcome!

After years of receiving backlash, the NCAA has finally realized that it can no longer withhold College athletes from profiting off their Name, Image and Likeness (NIL). Effective July 1, 2021, an interim law has gone into effect. Following California and Florida, many states have since adapted their own rules regarding NIL.

Until eventually the federal government will impose a fixed legislation regarding Name, Image and Likeness, the NCAA, other Conferences and High School Sports Associations will mainly go by what their states rule on NIL.

  • So what exactly is NIL or Name, Image and Likeness?
  • How can athletes benefit?
  • Is it difficult to go after NIL deals?
  • Will athlete scholarships be affected?
  • Which NIL opportunities are there?

If you would like to get answers to these questions and more, you have found the right course.

Planning to Cash in with NIL is written for College and JUCO athletes, high school athletes and/or their parents who have heard about the Name, Image and Likeness law (NIL). In the next chapters we will educate you about what NIL means and how you could benefit from NIL options.

At the end of this course you will have gained enough valuable knowledge to determine whether you would like to pursue your NIL opportunities and how.
