PRACTICE GOALS

Goals your Coach shares with you, can be used in so many more ways.

Besides in your sport, start using them at home.

Apply them to your schoolwork and in your daily life.

WE > ME!

WE is bigger than ME really means making yourself less important.

The team and teammates you play with make the Team.

Not just you and all the shots you try to make…

It is the beauty of playing a Team Sport!

Having the WE > ME attitude can help you in becoming a great leader.

This means on and off the sports court, field or wherever else you play.

Being less selfish and helping others.

As well as being a great role model gets you much further in life.

Just celebrating and highlighting your own accomplishments will fade quickly.

"Having Fun should be your number One goal to play sports"
To emphasize great advice for young athletes, a sign says: "Let's keep this short" is shown on a baseball field.

 IMPROVE YOUR SKILLS

To perfect a skill,  you need to repeat the skill over and over again.

The best place to do this is by yourself.

So no audience or someone distracting you.

Try this on non-practice days, then build it into a daily routine.

It will help you down the stretch.

Create good work ethics without a Coach.

This is very valuable for later in your Sports Career.

PLAY FOR THE RIGHT TEAM AND COACH

Choosing the right environment is key for your development and well being.

Always come back and ask yourself if you  ENJOY what you are doing.

A lot of that comes down to the team you are part of.

Does the style of play and practice help with building your confidence?

Are you making progress?

Are you being coached in an uplifting and encouraging way?

If not, reach out to your parents and share what does not feel right.

It is also learning about boundaries and which ones should not be crossed.
